Better data on research peptides, from the people already using them.

The Open Peptide Project is an independent, observational registry. We don't sell, supply, or recommend anything. If you've already decided to start a research peptide, we help turn your experience into data that can actually be analyzed.

Stage 1 Live / Stage 2 In Pre-Launch Review: Our Evidence Library and Testing Standard are live now. Participant enrollment in the observational registry is currently closed while Study Protocol v1.1 and our electronic informed consent complete independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) and legal review (Ethics Route Option B). No participant health data is collected on this site yet.

Why this exists

Most research peptides have never been properly studied in people. Thousands of forum posts can't replace structured, prospective data. Pooled carefully, hundreds of participants can produce something far more useful.

What makes it different

  • You enroll before you start, with a 14-day baseline that becomes your own comparison period.
  • About 20 seconds a day and a few minutes a week.
  • Batches are logged and tiered as analytical-verified, declared, or unverified.
  • The protocol, analysis plan, and code are published openly, and all results will be too, including the null ones.

How it will work once enrollment opens

  1. Check eligibility. You must be 18+ and already planning to start a research peptide within 30 days on your own initiative.
  2. Consent. Read the plain-language electronic informed consent and complete a brief comprehension check. You can withdraw any time.
  3. Baseline (14 days). Short check-ins before you start anything, establishing your personal baseline.
  4. Log as you go. A quick daily log, a weekly check-in, and an optional photo of the vial label (with location metadata automatically stripped) at each batch change.
  5. Results. De-identified data and analysis are published openly, including null findings.

What we are not

We are not a clinical trial, a clinic, or a store. We don't assign compounds, give dosing advice, or link to suppliers. Talk to a licensed clinician about your health.

Independence and conflicts of interest

The Open Peptide Project is run and self-funded personally by Adam Greene while nonprofit incorporation is in progress. Peptide Hall, a company that sells research peptides, is owned by Caleb Greene, a family member of the project lead. Caleb holds no stake in the project, Peptide Hall never advertises here, every Peptide Hall batch tested is labeled “Related party” and verified by a second unaffiliated ISO/IEC 17025 lab, and Peptide Hall has no say in batch selection or wording. Full details are on our Disclosure page.

No vendor funds, selects, or reviews batch tests. Every test result is published, pass or fail.

Limitations (stated up front)

This is self-reported, unblinded, and self-selected. People often improve on their own, and expectations shape how people feel. We designed around these problems where we could (such as requiring a 14-day pre-use baseline and reporting verified batches separately), and we report them honestly where we couldn't.

FAQ

Is my data private?

Right now, enrollment is not open and we collect no participant health data. Once enrollment opens, you get a pseudonymous ID. Contact details needed for reminders and safety follow-up are stored in an isolated database separate from study logs and are never published. Published data is de-identified with rare combinations suppressed (minimum cell size k = 5) so no one can be singled out. Location data (EXIF/GPS) is stripped from vial photos upon upload.

Do you recommend peptides?

No. We never recommend, prescribe, supply, or suggest any research peptide or dose. We only record what adults who have already decided to use a compound were going to do anyway.

What if something goes wrong?

Seek medical care from a licensed clinician or emergency services immediately. The registry is an observational data collection project and does not provide medical care or real-time clinical monitoring. Once enrollment is active, you can log adverse events in the registry and report any suspected product defect or adverse event directly to FDA MedWatch (1-800-FDA-1088).

Who runs this?

The project is run personally by Adam Greene while we form a nonprofit organization, with scientific evidence reviews and protocol design led by Dr. Nova Reyes and the Open Peptide Project team. See our About and Disclosure pages.

Has this been ethics-reviewed and registered?

Study Protocol v1.1 is published openly for public, legal, and independent IRB review. We have chosen independent IRB oversight (Option B): participant enrollment will open only after an independent Institutional Review Board (IRB) determination and legal review are completed and the study is pre-registered on OSF Registries / ClinicalTrials.gov.
