Sigumir (cartilage peptide complex): what the evidence says
At a glance
What it is: an oral capsule product sold as one of the Khavinson "Cytomax" natural peptide complexes, said to be extracted from young animal cartilage and bone (product code A-4). UNVERIFIED the product code, the source tissue and the manufacturing method; these come from Nova's spec and seller descriptions, not from a primary source we could open.
What the evidence says: a PubMed search on Oct 26, 2026 found no study naming Sigumir. One Russian review names Sigumir and says it worked in animal osteoarthritis models and in older patients taking it orally, but it gives no trial size or design. R1 UNVERIFIED the underlying patient studies.
Biggest risks: unknown. Animal-tissue extracts carry a theoretical risk of allergy and contamination, and the contents of a given capsule are not standardized. UNVERIFIED no safety data were found.

About the evidence: there is nothing specific to this product to grade. Claims for it rest on the wider Khavinson peptide-bioregulator literature, which comes mostly from one research group in St. Petersburg and has not been independently replicated in Western randomized trials.
